Overnight Lane Closures, Flagging Operation Scheduled Through Late June

(June 6, 2023) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin overnight pavement patching work on Wednesday, June 7, along sections of MD 30 (Hanover Pike) in western Baltimore County. The maintenance project includes patching and restriping sections of pavement as needed, will improve safety and ride quality on the roadway. The work is expected to be complete by late June, weather permitting.

Starting Wednesday, crews will work 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays, on MD 30 between I-795 (Northwest Expressway) in Reisterstown and MD 91 (Emory Road) in Upperco, with single-lane closures and a flagging operation on MD 30. Contractor C.J.  Miller LLC, of Hampstead, will perform the $327,000 project.

The State Highway Administration understands lane closures and detours are an inconvenience, but this work is needed to maintain a safe and reliable transportation system. Drivers are asked to stay alert, stay focused, look ahead for temporary lane closures and a flagging operation to control two-way traffic on one lane, and slow down in the work zone.
