​Daytime Lane and Shoulder Closures Scheduled October 25-29

(October 22, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is continuing final tasks on I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) in the Catonsville area of Baltimore County from Monday morning, October 25 through Friday afternoon, October 29.

The work will require some daytime lane and shoulder closures along southbound I-695 (Outer Loop) and northbound I-695 (Inner Loop) at the following two locations:

• I-695 South Outer Loop from US 40 (National Pike) to MD 372 (Wilkens Avenue) - temporary acceleration and deceleration lane, right shoulder and left shoulder closures at Edmondson Avenue and Frederick Road interchanges 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• I-695 North Inner Loop from MD 144 (Frederick Road) to US 40 (National Pike) -temporary single left lane and left shoulder closures along Inner Loop 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There may be additional temporary left or right shoulder closures along the Inner and Outer loops as construction equipment and personnel move through the work zone during the day next week. The work is part of MDOT SHA’s project to widen this section of I-695.
