• HIGH IMPACT  I-895 (Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Throughway) between the tunnels and Boston Street/O’Donnell Street (exit 11) and the Holabird Avenue exit (MDTA Project) –Bridge rehabilitation project – Expect lane closures during off-peak travel times into summer 2021.                 

Baltimore County      

• HIGH IMPACT MD 146 (Dulaney Valley Rd.) Three Culverts Replacement – As of July 19, MDOT SHA has closed the section of MD 146 between north of Timonium Road and south of Old Bosley Road to all traffic for three weeks.  Through traffic on MD 146 between Towson and Jacksonville will be diverted to a posted detour route including I-695 (Baltimore Beltway), MD 45 (York Rd.) and MD 145. Weather permitting, the roadway will re-open on or about Monday, August 9.  New
• HIGH IMPACT I-695 Southwest Outer Loop Widening Project (US 40 to south of MD 144) - Major Roadway Widening and Bridge Replacement.  Schedule for August 1-August 6.  Night Work: Sunday-Thursday Single lane closure 7 p.m.-5 a.m. The next day; Double lane closures 10 p.m.-5 a.m. Daytime Work: Monday-Friday shoulder closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with single lane closures possible from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• MD 137 (Mt. Carmel Rd.) from Gunpowder Rd. to MD 25 (Falls Rd.) - Highway Maintenance roadway pavement milling, patching and resurfacing - Weekday single lane closures with flagging operations on MD 137 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday-Friday, in summer 2021.   
• MD 45 (York Rd.) from Gifford Rd. to Middletown Rd. - Highway Maintenance roadway pavement milling, patching and resurfacing – Work is now daytime, with single lane closures with flagging operations on MD 45 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday – Friday, in summer 2021.   
• MD 26 (Liberty Road) from Deer Park Road to Owings Mills Boulevard - Highway Maintenance roadway pavement patching - Occasional single lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday in summer 2021.

Carroll County

• MD 26 (Liberty Road) between Calvert Way and Monroe Avenue - Highway maintenance roadway patching and resurface – Single lane closures overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday nights through Friday mornings. The project is expected to be complete in October. 

Calvert County   

• MD 2 between Saint Michaels Court and the MD 2 / 4 intersection – Daytime single lane closures between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.  

Charles County   

• Southbound US 301 between MD 257 and the end of SHA maintenance prior to the Nice Bridge – Daytime single lane closures, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays.  
• MD 224 between the Reeder Run Bridge and Reeder Place – Milling and resurfacing, daytime single lane closures between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.  

Frederick County

• I-270: Exit ramp from southbound I-270 to northbound MD 85 and exit ramp from northbound MD 85 to southbound I-270 - Pipe installation - Overnight closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday night through Friday. The work and closures are expected to continue through the summer season.       
• MD 17 (Burkittsville Road) between Maryland Avenue at the roundabout and the Virginia state line – Highway maintenance patching and resurface – Single lane closures overnight Sunday to Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning starting this Sunday, August 1. The project is expected to take up to two weeks to complete. New 
• MD 17 (Burkittsville Road) between the MD 180 (Jefferson Pike) roundabout and East Mountain Road – Highway maintenance patching project – Single lane closures overnight Sunday to Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning starting this Sunday, August 1. Work is expected to take up to two weeks to complete. New 
• MD 77 (Foxville Road) between Tippin Drive and Stottlemeyer Road – Guardrail upgrades – Daytime work Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Wednesday, August 4. The project will require a flagging operation with completion expected in two weeks.  New
• MD 28 (Dickerson Road) bridge over the Monocacy River – Bridge deck replacement project – Single lane closures with a flagging operation weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The weekday work is expected to be complete next month. Total bridge closure on three weekends starting Fridays at 10 p.m. and ending Monday at 5 a.m. on these dates:

Harford County

• HIGH IMPACT MD 161 (Darlington Rd.) Bridge over Deer Creek – Crane operation for  Debris Removal –  Highway maintenance crane operation and daytime bridge  closure/detour to remove logs and other large debris under bridge and bridge  detours scheduled every day Monday, August 2-Friday August 6,  9 a.m.-5 p.m.   Detour route for through traffic includes US 1 (Conowingo Rd.), MD 136 (Priestford  Rd.) and MD 155 (Level Rd). The roadway will be open to local traffic only on either  side of the bridge. New
• US 40 (Pulaski Hwy.) from Robinhood Rd. To MD 7 (Post Rd./Revolution St.) –  Highway maintenance pavement repair, milling and resurfacing in Havre de Grace -  Overnight single lane  closures and lane shifts on eastbound and westbound US 40  Sunday – Thursday, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day, through late September.   New                          

Howard County        

• MD 32 (Patuxent Freeway) at Dorsey Run Road – Road surface improvement project – Single lane closures on MD 32 and Dorsey Run Road between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. along with daytime single lane closures Dorsey Run Road. Ramp B (Dorsey Run Road to Eastbound MD 32) is closed and expected to reopen in September. Motorists are detoured to the MD 32/US 1 (Washington Boulevard) interchange.

Montgomery & Prince George’s Counties

Montgomery County 

• MD 410 (East West Highway) at MD 186 (Brookville Road). Inlet/sidewalk construction project. Single, off-peak lane closures, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through year-end 2021. 

Prince George’s County  

• Inner Loop/Outer Loop of I-95/I-495 from Temple Hill Road to MD 414 (St. Barnabas Road). Roadway patching. Single and multiple off-peak lane closures, overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through late July 2021. 
• MD 210 (Indian Head Highway) northbound ramp to northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway). Resurfacing. Full ramp closure with detour, overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Drivers should follow detour signs and use northbound MD 210 and MD 414 (St. Barnabas Road) to access northbound I-495.       
• MD 210 (Indian Head Highway) northbound ramp to southbound I-495 (Capital Beltway). Resurfacing. Full ramp closure with detour, overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Drivers should follow detour signs and use northbound MD 210 and the exit to southbound I-495 to access southbound I-495.   

St. Mary's County

• MD 5 between Abell/Moakley Streets and MD 245 (Hollywood Road) - daytime single lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Updated           
• Northbound MD 235 between By the Mill Road and north of MD 245 – Roadway milling and resurfacing. Crews are permitted to work overnight 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. or daytime 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. New                         
• MD 247 between MD 5 and Oakville Road – Daytime single lane closures for milling and resurfacing, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. New     

Washington County

• US 40 – Big Pool Rd to I-70 (Exit 9) – Single lane closures – 6 a.m.–6 p.m. – Patch, mill and resurface. - New  

Long-Term Closures

Allegany County    

• MD 51 (Industrial Boulevard) between Canal Parkway and Second Street – Bridge Rehabilitation – Northbound side of bridge closed - traffic is shifted onto the southbound side of the bridge – one lane traffic in each direction.       
• MD 51 (Oldtown Road) over the C&O Canal near Paw Paw Tunnel – Bridge Rehabilitation - both lanes are closed and a temporary traffic signal is rotating traffic through a single center lane.               
• MD 135 west of the MD 36 Intersection and MD 135 and River Road area Westernport/Bloomington – Bank stabilization - northbound lane will be closed – southbound lane will be used for commute lane -Traffic signage, barriers, lights and flaggers will be in place for directing and maintaining traffic control.    

Anne Arundel County

• MD 2 between Pasadena Road and MD 270 (Furnace Branch Road) - Overnight single lane closures, Sunday through Thursday nights, 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.         
• MD 32 at MD 3 interchange – Ramp resurfacing, Sunday through Thursday nights 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.               

Baltimore County

• MD 151 (Sparrows Pt. Blvd.)/Wharf Road (MD 151 B) Interchange - Three-bridge replacement project at interchange.  The southbound side of the existing MD 151 bridge is closed and two-way traffic - one lane in each direction - runs on the northbound side of the bridge.  This will be in effect for the next year and will enable partial demolition of the existing bridge over Wharf Road and future construction of the new bridge.  This is in addition to the detours of southbound and northbound Wharf Road at the interchange. 
• Notes: As of May 12, the northbound side of MD 151 is closed between the Baltimore County Highways Maintenance Shop (1500 block) and the Wharf Rd. Interchange.  Two-way traffic will run on the southbound side of MD 151 , one lane in each direction. The existing ramp from Northbound MD 151 to southbound Wharf Road is open for local traffic only.          
• HIGH IMPACT - US 1 Bridge over CSX Transportation rail lines – Bridge replacement – As of June 10, 2021, Clarke Blvd. at US 1 is closed/detoured 24/7, 7 days/week for one year.  Posted detour route to and from US 1 (Washington Blvd.) includes Selford Road, Francis Avenue, Oregon / Carville Avenue, Tom Day Boulevard, and US 1 Alt. (Southwestern Blvd.)                         
• I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) North and South Bridges over Padonia Road –Dual Bridge replacement and interchange improvements. There may be single lane closures on I-83 North and I-83 South between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday. Single lane closures on Padonia Rd. West between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday.  Detours of Padonia Rd. underneath I-83 possible on any weeknights (Sunday-Thursday) between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning. Note: Interchange Ramp from Padonia Road East to I-83 North closed 24 hours/7 days until project is complete.                   
• Cove Road bridge over I-695 - Bridge deck replacement - On I-695, daytime single lane closures in both directions Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and overnight lane closures Sunday-Thursday between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day. On Cove Road bridge over I-695, long-term single lane closures are in effect, with two-way traffic shifted to northern side of the bridge deck.           
• I-70 bridges over Patapsco River and CSX Rail Line at Baltimore/Howard Co. Line – Bridge Parapet Rehabilitation - Single lane closures Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and overnight single and double lane closures Sunday-Thursday between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning. Lane closures permitted when needed on Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.           
• MD 695A (Broening Hwy.) between Maryland Ave. and east of Ralls Ave. at Baltimore City/County Line in Dundalk - Roadway Resurfacing and Safety Improvements – Daytime single lane closures on Broening Hwy. between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday and between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday. Overnight double lane closures with traffic lane shifts on Broening Hwy. between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday.  Weekend work on Broening Hwy. with continuous double lane closures 8 p.m. Friday – 5 a.m. Monday scheduled on weekends through early July 2021 (No work weekend of June 19-20).    
• US 40 Dual Bridges over Little Gunpowder Falls and (Big) Gunpowder Falls – Bridge replacement – Weekdays: Eastbound US 40 (towards Aberdeen) 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Westbound US 40 (towards Baltimore) 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Weeknights: Eastbound and Westbound US 40 Weeknights: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day, Sunday - Thursday nights.  Saturdays: Single lane closures on Eastbound and Westbound in the vicinity of the bridges at any time between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturdays through summer 2021.   
• MD 147 (Harford Road) at Joppa Rd. - Intersection Improvements - Single lane closures and flagging operations within the intersection area may occur daytime between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday. and overnights Sunday-Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day.  Lane shift in effect along southbound MD 147 at the intersection until late August. 
  MD 150 (Eastern Ave.) between the bridge over Back River and the intersection with Mace Ave./Riverside Dr. - Baltimore County Water main replacement and MDOT SHA highway resurfacing – Occasional single lane closures on westbound MD 150 for final daytime work Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in summer.                
• MD 140 (Reisterstown Rd.) between Painters Mill Rd. and E. Pleasant Hill Rd. Resurfacing/County Water Main replacement - Crews currently installing new 36-inch water main from Owings Mills Blvd. to East Pleasant Hill road with connections to fire hydrants and buildings along MD 140. Daytime single lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. between Owings Mills Blvd. and E. Pleasant Hill Rd.  Nighttime single lane closures within project limits Sunday-Thursday nights between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day.  Access to all driveways in this section will be maintained during any lane closures.    
• MD 140 (Reisterstown Rd.) between E. Pleasant Hill Rd. and Stocksdale Ave. Resurfacing/County Water Main replacement - Daytime single lane closures Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. between E. Pleasant Hill Rd and Stocksdale Ave.  Nighttime single lane closures within project limits Sunday-Thursday nights between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the next day.  Access to driveways in this section will be maintained during any lane closures.               
• MD 147 (Harford Rd.)/Joppa Rd. Intersection Improvements – Intersection Reconstruction and Water main replacement.           
• MD 45 (York Road) between north of Padonia Road and Wight Avenue – Roadway Resurfacing/County Water Main replacement – Single and double lane closures on MD 45 for overnight final paving and marking work between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday and single lane closures where needed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday-Friday.  through early August.                     
• MD 43 (White Marsh Blvd.) at Honeygo Blvd. - Intersection Widening and Improvements - Temporary daytime lane closures on MD 43 and Honeygo Blvd. legs of the intersection between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday-Friday, and overnight lane closures at any time between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday. When necessary, there will be temporary lane closures on weekends, between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Cecil County

•  MD 273 (Telegraph Road) Bridge over Big Elk Creek – Bridge replacement project. The temporary traffic signals have been deactivated and both lanes are available across the bridge. Occasional daytime single lane flagging will still be needed through early May to remove the signals and finish the project.  Updated                         
• MD 279 (Elkton Road) at MD 277 (Fletchwood Road) – Northbound MD 279 is reduced to a single lane at the MD 277 intersection near the Delaware line and shifted across the median to a contraflow pattern (one lane in each direction) through summer 2021.  This is part of the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDot) reconstruction of route 279.  Updated                                          

Frederick County                     

• I-270 (Eisenhower Highway) southbound from MD 121 (Clarksburg Road) to MD 109 (Old Hundred Road) I-270 acceleration lane expansion project. Single and multiple off-peak lane closures, weekdays 9:30 a.m.to 3:30 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. through year-end 2021. Possible Traffic Impact in Frederick County.                

Harford County

• Old Joppa Road Bridge over I-95 (MDTA project) – Bridge replacement project – Old Joppa Road closed and locally detoured.                                  
• Clayton Road bridge over I-95 between MD 152 and MD 24 (MDTA project) - Clayton Road closed and detoured until early 2022.                                 
• MD 22 (Churchville Road) between MD 136 (Calvary Road) and Prospect Mill Road -Roadway resurfacing and intersection widening – Occasional single lane closures/lane shifts on MD 22 east and west of Thomas Run Road/Shucks Road intersection when necessary between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday-Friday, and between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday and between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturdays when necessary through late summer 2021.  
• MD 924 South (Kenmore Avenue) between US 1 and Main Street, and MD 924 (Emmorton Road) between Ring Factory Road and Plumtree Road -Roadway resurfacing and traffic signal upgrades - Occasional concrete curb, ramp, sidewalk work on sections of MD 924 through spring 2021.  MD 924 from Ring Factory Rd. to Plumtree Rd. • MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) from north of Gold Mine Road to south of Holiday Drive. - Roadway relocation project.- Intermittent single northbound and southbound lane closures weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through late summer 2021.                                   
• MD 190 (River Road) from MD 188 (Wilson Lane) to MD 614 (Goldsboro Road). Roadway improvement project. Single lane closures, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and multiple lane closures, overnight, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through late summer 2021.               
• MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) from MD 547 (Knowles Avenue) to Dupont Avenue. Geometric/median improvement project. Single and multiple off-peak northbound and southbound lane closures, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through year-end 2021.    
• I-270 (Eisenhower Highway) from Interstate 70 to I-495 (Capital Beltway). Traffic congestion relief construction project - Intermittent single lane closures, weekdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and single, double and triple overnight lane closures, Sunday through Thursday, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and intermittent temporary ramp closures with detours up to 24 hours a day through year-end 2021.

Prince George’s County            

• US 1 (Baltimore Avenue) College Ave. to MD 193 (University Boulevard) - US 1 Reconstruction Project - Corridor Improvement- Northbound and southbound single lane closures throughout the length of the project Saturday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. through summer 2023.                         
• MD 5 (Branch Avenue) from the DC Line to the intersection of Curtis Drive.  Safety and resurfacing project. • Eastbound MD 214 (Central Avenue) ramp to northbound I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway). Bridge construction project. Full ramp closure with detour through year-end 2021. Drivers should use the signed detour route of eastbound MD 214 to northbound MD 202 (Largo Road) to westbound MD 214 to access northbound I-95/I-495).         
• MD 500 (Queens Chapel Road) from Eastern Avenue to MD 208 (Hamilton Street). Community safety and enhancement project. Intermittent single and multiple lane closures weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 7 p.m.    to 6 a.m. through late summer 2022.    
• Southbound I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) ramp to eastbound MD 214 (Central Avenue) – Bridge replacement project – Total ramp closure with traffic using the Capital Beltway/MD 202 (Largo Road) interchange and then to MD 214 via MD 202 to year end 2021.          
• I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) over Suitland Road. Bridge replacement project. Intermittent single and multiple lane closures, weekdays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and weekends, Saturday night 6 p.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday morning through late summer 2021.      
• I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) from Suitland Road to MD 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue). Suitland Parkway bridge replacement project. Road shoulder closure permissible 24 hours daily, intermittent single and multiple lane closures, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, Friday through Thursday, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through year-end 2021.                                           

St. Mary’s County

•  MD 5 between Abell/Moakley Streets and MD 245 (Hollywood Road) - Daytime single lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.              

Washington County            

• I-70 East and Westbound at the MD 65 Interchange – Bridge rehabilitation and widening of I-70 bridge over MD 65- Left shoulder closed EB/WB long term for phase 1 work. Intermittent, single lane closures at nighttime from Sunday through Thursday between midnight and 5 a.m. on I-70. Additionally, alternating/single lane closures will be performed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weekdays on MD 65 north and south.
• I-70 Eastbound and Westbound between Boyd Road and Ashton Road - Grinding and paving procedures and traffic barrier upgrades – Nightly lane closures – Sunday-Thursday 8 p.m.-7 a.m. -  single lane closures will be utilized to complete operations.
