Work Includes Single Lane Closure
(August 3. 2021) – Tonight the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will close one lane of the US 50 eastbound ramp to MD 450/MD 178 in Anne Arundel County to safely conduct curb repairs.
Between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. crews will repair the concrete curb along the ramp. While the work is taking place, crews will close the far right lane on the US 50 eastbound ramp to Exit 23, MD 450/MD 178. Motorists may still access West Street using the remaining exit ramp lanes.
The work, originally scheduled for July 29, was postponed until today.
Customers who have questions about this work may contact the MDOT SHA District 5 Office at 410-841-1000 or toll-free at 1-800-331-5603.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
Stranded motorists can dial #77 or 911 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
