MD 103 sign
(May 14, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin improving the roadway surface on MD 103 (Montgomery Road) between MD 104 (Waterloo Road) and Long Gate Parkway in Ellicott City starting Monday, May 17.
MDOT SHA’s contractor, Gray and Son, Inc., will work weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to resurface one mile of the roadway. The work is expected to be complete by July.
During the project, crews will shift travel lanes and use a flagging operation on MD 103 so the work can take place safely. Cones, signs, barrels and arrow boards will be used to alert motorists about the work zone.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
