​(January 7, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will close two lanes of the I-95/I-495 Outer Loop (Capital Beltway) bridges at Suitland Parkway beginning tomorrow, Jan. 8, to perform inlet repairs in Upper Marlboro, Prince George’s County.  The closures will begin at 7 p.m. and work is expected to be complete by 5 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9.    

Starting at 7 p.m., crews will close one lane on I-95/I-495 Outer Loop between Exit 9, Forestville Road, and Exit 11, MD 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue). At 9 p.m., crews will close a second lane. Two through lanes will be maintained during the work.    

This northbound bridge work is part of the $36 million I-95/I-495 over Suitland Parkway bridge replacement project, which is expected to be complete by the end of 2021. For more information, visit the Project Portal Site.
