MD 32 sign
(September 1, 2020) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will open the new Triadelphia Road bridge over MD 32 (Patuxent Freeway) to two-way traffic tomorrow, Sept. 2, at 9 a.m. The traffic switch is expected to be completed by 5 p.m.
Construction started last summer on the $2.5 million bridge replacement with MDOT SHA maintaining the westbound travel lane and detouring eastbound traffic. The project is part of the $127 million MD 32 Phase II widening project expected to be complete in 2022.
The overall project includes construction an additional travel lane in both directions of MD 32 between Linden Church Road and the I-70 ramps. Learn more details

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
