I-495 sign
(June 26, 2020) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin preliminary removal work to the I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) bridges over Suitland Parkway in Prince George's County on Sunday.
Crews will close three northbound lanes on I-95/I-495 from Allentown Road to MD 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue) and on southbound I-95/I-495 from MD 4 to Allentown Road. Lane closures will be in effect 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday, July 2 as crews shift traffic. Learn more about the project HERE.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slowdown in construction zones.
