WHAT:           
SHA will host an informational meeting to discuss next year’s planned rehabilitation project of the MD 109 (Old Hundred Road) Bridge over Little Bennett Creek in Hyattstown. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2009. Attendees will have an opportunity to provide input and ask questions of SHA representatives. There will be no formal presentation; displays will be available, explaining the upcoming improvements and proposed traffic management plans during construction.

WHY:           
SHA will rehabilitate the bridge along MD 109 over Little Bennett Creek in Montgomery County. The project involves removing and replacing the concrete bridge deck, cleaning and painting the steel beams, and repairing portions of the abutments. During construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane with traffic flow controlled by a temporary traffic signal. Construction is scheduled to begin spring 2009. Weather permitting, it will be complete in late fall 2009.
