Maryland’s Construction and Engineering Career Day Event

Thursday, April 10, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (by invitation only)          
          
PHOTO OP:           
10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Students will participate in interactive/hands-on exhibits such as: demonstrations of heavy construction equipment, a bridge model-building station, hydraulics design and soil sampling demonstrations. The event will also include a guided tour of the Aggregate Industries plant facilities.

Accessible from MD 5 (Branch Avenue) via the Old Branch Avenue/Kirby Road ramp          
          
WHY:           
This annual event for high school students encourages their awareness of the diverse career opportunities in the construction and engineering fields. By introducing them to the transportation and construction industry, this Career Day event addresses the shortage of skilled workers in Maryland’s transportation and construction industry.
