(September 27, 2018) – Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, September 28, the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will close US 113 (Worcester Highway) near Snow Hill in Worcester County. The road will remain closed through the weekend, reopening by 6 a.m. Monday.

This closure is necessary to rebuild the existing Maryland-Delaware Railroad crossing and construct a new crossing for the future northbound US 113 as part of MDOT SHA’s project to dualize 4.3 miles of US 113 from MD 365 (Public Landing Road) to Five Mile Branch Road.  Motorists will be detoured onto US 113 Business during the closure.

While MDOT SHA and its transportation partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don’t follow too closely. Work Zone Safety is in Your Hands.
