(May 6, 2008) – This week, the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) began a $75,000 project to improve drainage along MD 304 (Corsica Neck Road), just east of the Corsica River in Centreville,
Queen Anne’s County. Weather permitting work, will be complete by the end of May.

Drainage repair work includes the replacement of an underground pipe, which is located across the width of the roadway, along with associated ditch work. SHA crews are scheduled to work between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Motorists will encounter temporary traffic signs, cones, drums and flaggers during the intermittent single lane closures. SHA awarded the contract to Allied Contractors, Inc. of Baltimore.

SHA reminds motorists to Think Orange: work zones are everyone's business. Slow, stay alert and expect the unexpected in construction work zones. Choose Safety for Life!
