Major Weekend Lane Closures (Weather Permitting)

Anne Arundel County

 

• Northbound MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) ramp to westbound MD 175 (Annapolis Road) – Advanced utility work – Ramp to close and be detoured Saturday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorists to be detoured using the Arundel Mills exit to southbound MD 295 and back to westbound MD 175. new

• Inner loop of I-695 at the Curtis Creek Drawbridge – Drawbridge repair – (MDTA project) Inner loop I-695 closed and traffic in two-way operation using the outer loop of I-695 until November 2018.

• Northbound I-895 Bridge over the Patapsco Flats (Between MD 295 and the I-97/MD spur) – Bridge rehabilitation – (MDTA project) 24/7 right lane closure until summer 2019.

Baltimore County

• Inner loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) ramp to northbound I-95 (Southwest Corner) – Ramp paving – Ramp to close and be detoured beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday. new

Carroll County

• Northbound MD 27 (Ridge Road) ramp to eastbound I-70- Ramp resurfacing – Overnight ramp closure and detour using South Main Street. Work is schedule to last for one week (beginning of August). new

• Northbound 97 between Arthur Peck Drive and Pleasant Valley Road - Setting concrete barrier – Single northbound lane closure guided by flaggers beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday. new

Charles County

Frederick County

• Westbound I-70 between MD 75 (Green Valley Road) and the Monocacy River Bridge - Resurfacing – Single lane and shoulder closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. new

 

Montgomery County

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) - WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Single lane closures Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

• MD 224 (Riverside Road) Bridge over Thorne Gut Branch – Bridge replacement – Total closure and through August. Click here for more details and detour information.

 

Frederick County

• Eastbound US 40 Alternate (Old National Pike) between Fern Lane and Ridge Road – Roadside slope repair – Right truck “climbing” lane and shoulder closed until late-August.

 

Prince George’s County

• MD 381 (Brandywine Road) Bridge over Timothy Branch – Bridge replacement – Total closure and detour until late-August.

Anne Arundel County

• MD 436 (Ridgely Avenue) Swing bridge over Weems Creek – Routine moveable bridge maintenance – The Weems Creek Bridge will close at 9 p.m. Friday, July 27 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 30. MD 70 (Rowe Boulevard) will be the detour route for motorists. Marine traffic unaffected by weekend closure. new

Baltimore County

• Inner loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) ramp to southbound I-95 (Southwest Corner) – Ramp paving – Ramp to close and be detoured beginning at 9 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday. new

• Northbound I-95 ramp to the inner loop I-695 (Southwest Corner) – Ramp paving – Ramp to close and be detoured beginning at 9 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday. Repeat ramp closure and detour with same times and work hours Wednesday into Thursday. new

• Southbound I-95 ramp to the inner loop I-695 (Southwest Corner) – Ramp paving – Ramp to close and be detoured beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday. new

 

• US 40 (Pulaski Highway) between Days Cove Road and the Harford County line – Paving and patching – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. (Eastbound US 40) and 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. (Westbound US 40). Project to be complete by mid-September. new

Carroll County

•  MD 27 (Ridge Road) between Watersville Road and the Frederick County line – Resurfacing – Single lane closures guided by flaggers Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. new

 

Frederick County

•  MD 76 (Motters Station Road) between MD 77 (Rocky Ridge Road) and Four Points Road – Resurfacing – Single lane closures guided by flaggers Mondays through Fridays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

•  US 40 (Baltimore National Pike) between Old Camp Road and I-70 – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Howard County

• MD 100 between east of Snowden River Parkway and east of US 1 (Washington Boulevard) – Resurfacing project – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. each morning.

 

Montgomery County

• Northbound MD 124 (Quince Orchard Road) between Dosh Drive and MD 117 (Clopper Road) – Shared-use path construction – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. until early-August. 

 

Washington County

• I-81 between the Potomac River Bridge (West Virginia line) and MD 68/MD 63 (Lappans Road) – Highway widening project – Left lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. There may be occasional, brief total closures to move equipment and material into place between 2 midnight and 4 a.m.
