Major Weekend Lane Closures Anne Arundel County

 

 • US 50 on the Severn River Bridge – Lane widening project – Single lane closures Sundays through Thursday between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Baltimore County

 

 • I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) at MD 137 (Mt. Carmel Road) – Bridge replacement project – Overnight closures and detours for crews to work on new bridge over I-83. Traffic will be guided, single file, up and over the and back onto I-83. The following is the planned schedule: new

 

• Northbound I-83 to be closed and detoured Sunday night beginning at 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. Monday.

 

 • Southbound I-83 to be closed and detoured Wednesday night beginning at 9 p.m. through 5 a.m. Thursday. Montgomery County • Inner and outer loop of I-495 (Capital Beltway) between MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) and MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) – Seminary Road bridge rehabilitation project – Occasional single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

• Southbound MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) between Underwood Street and Thornapple Street - Private/commercial gas line replacement - Single and double lane closures on Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (excluding 12/23 and 12/30) through the end of January.

 

 • US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) - WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Weekend lane closures are possible between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Long-Term Closures Carroll County

 

• MD 30 Business (Main Street) between North Woods Trail and the CSX Railroad tracks – Urban reconstruction project – Single lane closures with a flagging operation Mondays through Saturdays between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. until project completion, fall 2019/winter 2020. Charles County

 

• MD 234 (Budds Creek Road) Bridge over Gilbert Swamp Run – Bridge replacement –Single lane closure guided by a temporary traffic signal until spring 2018.

 

• MD 6 (Charles Street) Bridge over Zekiah Swamp – Bridge deck replacement – Single lane closure guided by a temporary traffic signal until spring 2018. Frederick County

 

• MD 355 (Urbana Pike) Bridge over the Monocacy River – Emergency bridge repair – Bridge closed for up to 60 after being struck and damaged by vehicle. A look ahead at next week Baltimore County

 

• I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) at MD 137 (Mt. Carmel Road) – Bridge replacement project - Southbound I-83 to be closed and detoured Wednesday night beginning at 9 p.m. through 5 a.m. Thursday. new Montgomery County

 

• Southbound MD 355 (Wisconsin Avenue) between Elm Street and Bethesda Avenue – Building demolition– Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. new Washington County

 

• I-81 at the MD 63/MD 68 Bridge – Highway and bridge widening – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Worcester County

 

• MD 528 (Coastal Highway) between 26th Street and 62nd Street – Median fence construction – Left lane closed in each direction Mondays through Thursdays – Traffic alternated by a flagging operation from sunrise until 6 p.m. (impacted by weather – work expected to commence on Monday, Jan.12.)
