MDOT SHA Major Planned Major Weekend Lane Closure Update (10/27/2017 – 10/30/2017)

• Northbound I-97 ramp to westbound MD 100 – Ramp surface treatment – Ramp closed and detour beginning at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday new

 

• US 50 on the Severn River Bridge – Lane widening project – Single lane closures Sundays through Thursday between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

 

• Northbound I-95 between US 1 and the Baltimore City/County line – Bridge deck improvements – Double lane closures Sundays through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

 

• MD 331 at the Dover Bridge – Bridge construction work – Single lane closures alternated by a flagging operation Saturday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. See live video cameras of the Dover Bridge project:  MD 331 at Carrs Creek Ln  and MD 331 west of Dover Bridge (HIGH IMPACT)

• MD 281 (Red Hill Road) at Muddy Lane – Roundabout construction – MD 281 and Muddy Lane are closed and detoured. Roundabout to open by Monday in final configuration. new

 

• MD 26 (Liberty Road) between West South Street and MD 31 (New Windsor Road) – Concrete work – Single lane closure with flagging operation 9 a.m. Friday until 4 p.m. Saturday (concrete must come to proper strength) new

• MD 194 (Francis Scott Key Highway) between MD 550 (Woodsboro Road) and the Carroll County line – Resurfacing – Single lane closures guided by a flagging operation, Sunday nights until Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. new

• Eastbound I-70 at US 15 (Catoctin Mountain Highway) – Bridge deck repairs – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 a.m. and 5 a.m. new

• Eastbound I-70 at Harmony Road – Bridge deck repairs – Single lane closure beginning at 8 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday new

 

 
• Outer loop of I-495 (Capital Beltway) at southbound I-270 and southbound I-270 spur to the outer loop of I-495 - Resurfacing and pavement marking - Single and double lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through late-fall.

• Southbound I-270 between MD 121 (Clarksburg Road) and the Frederick County line – Resurfacing -  Single and double lane closures Sunday nights until Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (northbound I-270 will be completed next spring)

• MD 190 (River Road) between Seven Locks Road and Carderock Springs Road - Private/commercial water utility work - Single and double lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• MD 193 (University Boulevard) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 320 (Piney Branch Road) – Resurfacing - Single and double lane closures Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., as well as Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) -  WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Weekend lane closures are possible between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

 

 

• MD 201 (Kenilworth Avenue) ramps to US 50 (Hansen Highway) – Patching and resurfacing - Single lane closure Sundays through Thursdays between 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Fridays between 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Mondays.

• US 1 (Baltimore Avenue) between Hollywood Road and Lackawanna Street - Private/commercial water utility work - Single and double lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through late-fall.

• Southbound MD 210 (Indian Head Highway) at Old Fort Road - Private/commercial waterline work - Single and double lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through late-October.

• Westbound US 50 (John Hanson Highway) between the Anne Arundel County Line and Lottsford Vista Road - Resurfacing – Single, double and triple lane closures Fridays through Mondays between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. and double lane closures Sundays through Thursdays between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

 

 

• Stevensville Park and Ride (US 50 at MD 8) – Park and Ride lot resurfacing – Lot closed Friday through Sunday afternoon. new

 

 

 

• MD 147 (Harford Road) at Glen Arm Road/Mt. Vista Road – Roundabout construction –Glen Arm Road is closed and detoured. Traffic switch coming November 1.

• MD 30 Business (Main Street) between North Woods Trail and the CSX Railroad tracks – Urban reconstruction project – Single lane closures with a flagging operation Mondays through Saturdays between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. until project completion, fall 2019/winter 2020.

 

• MD 234 (Budds Creek Road) Bridge over Gilbert Swamp Run – Bridge replacement – Single lane closure guided by a temporary traffic signal until spring 2018.  

• MD 6 (Charles Street) Bridge over Zekiah Swamp – Bridge deck replacement – Single lane closure guided by a temporary traffic signal until spring 2018.  

• Southbound MD 3 (Crain Highway) (Median) between Waugh Chapel Road and MD 175 (Millersville Road) (BGE project) – BGE electric transmission line project – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

• Southbound MD 129 (Park Heights Avenue) between MD 133 (Old Court Road) and Baltimore City line (BGE project) – BGE Gas line replacement project – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

• I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) at MD 137 (Mt. Carmel Road) – Bridge replacement project - Single lane and shoulder closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

 

• MD 404 (Queen Anne Highway/Shore Highway) between US 50 (Ocean Gateway) and MD 309 (Starr Road) and MD 480 (Ridgely Road) and the Denton Bypass – Highway widening – Single lane closures with flagging operations possible in each direction of MD 404 12 noon Mondays until 12 noon Fridays.

 

 

• MD 165 (Pylesville Road) between the Maryland/Pennsylvania line an Wheeler School Road – Mega Move/convoy – Slow moving convoy with moving flagging operation as convoy passes beginning at 11 p.m. Monday and arriving at destination by midnight. new

 

 

• Northbound I-95 ramp to northbound I-895 – Sound wall construction – Ramp to be closed and detoured Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. until early November.

 

 

• Inner and outer loops I-495 (Capital Beltway) between MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) and MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) - Roadway grinding and lane striping for Seminary Road Bridge Replacement Project - Single left lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings beginning Wednesday (11/1) for approximately two weeks. new

 

 

• US 1 Alternate (Bladensburg Road) between the Anacostia River Bridge and Eastern Avenue (Washington D.C. line) – Resurfacing project - Single lane closures between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. new

 

• I-81 between MD 63/MD 68 and the bridge over the Potomac River – Highway and bridge widening – Occasional left lane closures Sunday nights until Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

• Westbound I-70 between MD 615 and the Tonoloway Creek Bridge – Resurfacing – Single lane and shoulder closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
