(May 25, 2017)– The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will close one of two lanes on the MD 4 Bridge over the Patuxent River (Governor Thomas Johnson Memorial Bridge) between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 11. Crews will be cleaning the scuppers and shoulders on the bridge deck.
This work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of rain of high winds.
Each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert – look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don't follow too closely. Safer Driving. Safer Work Zones. For everyone!
