Crews to perform hydraulics maintenance on the Wednesday August 31
(August 29, 2016) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will perform hydraulics maintenance on the swing bridge across Weems Creek, on MD Route 436 (Ridgely Avenue), overnight on Wednesday, August 31.
The work will require the swing span to be in the open position. This will allow marine traffic through the bridge and require a detour for vehicle traffic. The work will be performed between 7p.m. on Wednesday August, 31 and 7a.m. on Thursday, September 1. All will have access to their residents and businesses.
Detour route:
• Travelling from Annapolis on MD 436: will be detoured onto MD 70 (Rowe Boulevard), a right onto Bestgate Road and a right onto MD 436
• Travelling to Annapolis on MD 436; will be detoured left onto Bestgate Road, left onto MD 70, left onto Melvin Avenue and left on MD 436
