MDOT SHA LogoDrivers Should Plan Ahead for Lane Closures and Flagging Operations near Jacksonville (March 22, 2016) – Next Monday, the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will resume paving operations for a $1.2 million highway repair and resurfacing project on MD 145 (Paper Mill Road) between the Loch Raven Reservoir and MD 146 (Jarrettsville Pike) in northern Baltimore County. The highway maintenance project began fall 2015 and should be complete late spring, weather permitting. Contractor crews have recently completed pavement removal to prepare for the new asphalt surface. During the next 10 weeks, crews will resurface the road, replace residential and business driveway pavement tie-ins to Paper Mill Road and place reflective pavement markings. Crews will work during daytime off-peak travel hours to minimize delays for the 11,000 vehicles that travel this section of Paper Mill Road each day. Motorists should expect weekday single and lane closures with flagging operations between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday – Friday, and between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays (if needed). SHA’s contractor for the project is Allan Myers MD Inc. of Fallston. “Think Orange” in work zones and slow down.
