(June 16, 2014) – Beginning Tuesday, June 17, the State Highway Administration (SHA) will patch and repair sections of MD 213 in Centreville and Chestertown, Queen Anne’s County. Work will begin along
Centreville Road between MD 305 (Hope Road) and Coursevall Drive in Centreville. The scheduled work hours are weeknights from 6 p.m. through 6 a.m. and repairs should be complete by June 19.
The following week, beginning June 22, work will take place on MD 213 between the
Chester River Bridge and MD 291 in Chestertown. Crews will work from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. with a flagging operation directing traffic. Repairs should be complete by Tuesday, June 24, weather permitting.
SHA’s contractor for the repairs is David A. Bramble of Chestertown. The contractor will use variable message boards, temporary signs, flaggers, and cones to guide motorists through the work zone. Motorists should plan extra time to move through the work zone during the repair project.
While SHA and its transportation partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don’t follow too closely. Saver Driving. Safer Work Zones. For Everyone!
