STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE RAMPS AT THE US 50/MD 2 INTERCHANGE FOR RESURFACING

Overnight Closures Sunday 11/2 and Monday 11/3 Will Allow SHA to Grind Southbound MD 2 Ramps in Preparation for Resurfacing           
          
(October 31, 2008) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will be closing a ramp from southbound MD 2 to US 50 (John Hanson Highway) on Sunday and Monday night, November 2 and 3 respectively, as part of a $1.4 million resurfacing of MD 2 (Ritchie Highway) South from Cypress Creek Road to US 50. The ramp closures and detours will be as follows:          
          
Sunday, November 2 between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. – the ramp from southbound MD 2 to eastbound US 50 will be closed. The detour will be southbound MD 2 to the ramp to westbound US 50 to MD 70 (Rowe Blvd., Exit 24A) to eastbound US 50.          
          
Monday, November 3 between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. – the ramp from southbound MD 2 to westbound US 50 will be closed. The detour will be southbound MD 2 to the ramp to eastbound US 50 to Bay Dale Drive (Exit 28) to westbound US 50.
