SHA HOLDS PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED BRANCH AVENUE CORRIDOR EXPANSION IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY

WHAT:  
 
The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA), Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host a public hearing about the planned expansion of the 10-mile MD 5 (Branch Avenue) corridor between the MD 5/US 301 interchange and I-95/I-495 in Prince George’s County.

WHY: 
 
The purpose of this hearing is to provide all interested persons the opportunity to comment on the project and learn more about project alternatives. 
 
Project information boards will be on display beginning at 6 p.m. A formal presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will include a description of the project alternatives, a summary of environmental impacts, information on right-of-way acquisition and relocation procedures. Following the formal presentation, persons on the speakers’ list will be called to testify in the order in which their requests were received. Private and written testimony will also be accepted.
