SHA AND MONTGOMERY COUNTY BEGIN MD 97 PROJECT PLANNING STUDY

What:  
The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) and Montgomery County will host a public workshop for the MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) Planning Study.  The workshop is the first step of a multi-phase planning study to enhance safety along the 0.7-mile corridor near Montgomery Hills.  Representatives will be available to discuss the study and answer questions.  Attendees may arrive at any time and walk through at their own pace; there will be no formal presentation.

Tuesday, March 13 – 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. (Snow Date – Tuesday, March 20)

Woodlin Elementary School – Cafeteria

Why: 
The project will address issues along the MD 97 corridor between 16th Street   (MD 390) and Forest Glen Road (MD 192).  The study will seek to address vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle safety while integrating transit enhancements. SHA encourages area residents, pedestrians and transit users are encouraged to attend and provide feedback to project team members.
