Daytime Right-Lane Closure Scheduled for December 8; Motorists Should Plan for Additional Travel Time
(December 6, 2023) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will temporarily close one of two travel lanes on northbound MD 2 (Governor Ritchie Highway) between I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) and Hammonds Lane in Anne Arundel County on Friday, December 8 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The utility work is weather permitting.
State Highway Administration contractor F.O. Day Company, Inc. of Rockville will use signs, cones, and barrels to guide drivers through the work zone as crews repair a water valve.
Customers may contact the District 5 Office at 410-841-1000 or toll-free at 1-800-331-5603 for additional information. Drivers are asked to stay alert, stay focused, look for reduced speed limits as well as driving pattern changes, and slow down in construction zones.
