The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) works with all prime construction contractors and sub-contractors to ensure non-discrimination in contract compliance and Equal Employment Opportunity.

MDOT SHA maintains an active contractor compliance program to ensure non-discrimination of the contractor’s employment practices as required by federal regulation. This requirement is based on Executive Order 11246 and Executive Order 11375 as set forth in the Required Contract Provisions and in accordance with 23 CFR Chapter 230. MDOT SHA's commitment extends to the workforce of all MDOT SHA construction contractors. MDOT SHA will work with all contractors to fulfill equal employment opportunity obligations in accordance with their contracts.
