Expect Overnight Lane Closures Tuesday and Wednesday Nights, June 16 and 17
(June 11, 2026) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will patch segments of pavement along eastbound US 40 (Pulaski Highway) between MD 700 (Martin Boulevard) and Middle River Road in eastern Baltimore County as soon as Tuesday night, June 16. The work will be completed by 5 a.m. Thursday morning, weather permitting.
Crews will patch segments of pavement where needed along one mile of eastbound US 40 and will work overnight Tuesday and Wednesday between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. There will be temporary left- and right-lane closures in effect on both nights. In case of inclement weather, the work will be performed on the next possible weeknight (Sunday to Thursday).
The State Highway Administration’s primary contractor for the $175,000 areawide paving work location is Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium. Contractor crews and flaggers will use temporary traffic signs and cones to control traffic through the work zone on eastbound US 40.
The State Highway Administration is Serious About Safety. Motorists are urged to remain alert and avoid distractions when traveling through the work zone. Motorists should obey all posted speed limits. Motorists can dial #77 on their mobile devices for roadside assistance.
