Corridor Identified for Improvements in Statewide Pedestrian Safety Action Plan

(February 23, 2026) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will host a public informational workshop, 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, to provide information and gather community input on proposed pedestrian safety improvements along the MD 26 (Liberty Road) corridor from Washington Avenue to Owings Mills Boulevard/Live Oak Road in Baltimore County. The workshop will be held at the Randallstown Community Center, 3505 Resource Drive, Randallstown.

The State Highway Administration’s Pedestrian Safety Action Plan, published in May 2023, identifies areas of need and prioritizes corridors for pedestrian and bicycle safety projects. Safety improvements are planned for the MD 26 corridor in Baltimore County as part of the State Highway Administration’s commitment to a safe and accessible transportation network for all users, including pedestrians and bicyclists.
