Motorists Can Expect Overnight Single-Lane Closures
(March 19, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin a pavement patching project on approximately four miles of MD 152 (Mountain Road) between I-95 and US 1 (Belair Road) starting as early as Sunday night, March 23. The MD 152 pavement patching project is expected to be completed in late May, weather permitting.
Contractor crews will work overnights Sundays through Thursdays between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. to patch sections of asphalt pavement as needed along MD 152. Motorists can expect single-lane closures with flagging operations along both directions of MD 152 while work is taking place. The State Highway Administration’s contractor, Allan Myers MD Inc. of Fallston, will also use temporary traffic signs, cones and barrels to guide motorists through the work zone.
The $630,000 project is part of an areawide State Highway Administration maintenance contract to patch, mill and resurface pavements on State highways within Harford County.
Motorcyclists are urged to be aware of uneven pavement surfaces during the pavement patching work. The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
