Motorists Should Expect Weekday Single-Lane Closures and Flagging Operations along MD 24 in Edgewood and MD 152 in Fallston this spring

(March 4, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin improving sections of asphalt pavement along MD 24 (Emmorton Road) and MD 755 (Edgewood Road) in Harford County over the next two weeks. Both projects are expected to be completed by early summer, weather permitting.

On Monday, March 10, crews will start work on a $261,000 project to patch sections of pavement along MD 24 (Emmorton Road) from MD 755 (Edgewood Road) to Trimble Road.  Motorists can expect single lane closures on this section of MD 24 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

On Monday, March 17, crews will begin a $1.5 million project to patch, mill and resurface sections of pavement along MD 152 (Fallston Road) from Pleasantville Road to MD 165 (Baldwin Mill Road).  Motorists can expect single lane closures with flagging operations along this section of MD 24 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Contractor, Allan Myers – MD Inc. of Fallston will use temporary traffic signs, cones and barrels to guide motorists through the work zones on MD 24 and MD 152.

The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
