(October 11, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin work Wednesday, October 12, for the MD 129 (Park Heights Avenue) bridge over I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) in Baltimore County. Starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday, crews will work on repairs to the bridge girders. Contractor crews will work overnight, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday nights through Thursday mornings, through late October.

The Marksmen Company Inc. of Baltimore is performing the bridge repair work. While work is taking place, temporary single- and double-lane closures may be in effect on I-695 Inner and Outer loops from west of I-83 (Jones Falls Expressway) to west of MD 129.

The Move Over Law in Maryland requires motorists to make a lane change or slow down when approaching any stopped, standing or parked vehicle displaying hazard warning lights, road flares or other caution signals. The expanded law is in place to protect emergency responders and motorists who encounter a roadside emergency.
