Motorists Should Follow Detour Signs and Plan for Additional Travel Time

(September 16, 2016) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) has temporarily closed the ramp from MD 58 (Salem Avenue) to southbound I-81  due to auxiliary lane construction on southbound I-81. Weather permitting, crews will reopen the ramp mid-November.

Motorists should follow the signed detour: northbound I-81 to Maugans Avenue, turn left and exit to southbound I-81.
