(August 28, 2014) – The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) is making emergency repairs to the northbound I-95/I-495 (outer loop of the Capital Beltway) bridge over Suitland Road (between Suitland Parkway and Branch Avenue) in Prince George’s County. Crews will repair a deck puncture, similar to a pothole, on the bridge.

Beginning at 9 p.m. tonight, crews will block two left lanes three lanes to close beginning at 11 p.m. All lanes will be open no later than 5 a.m. Friday.  For the latest traffic conditions, log onto www.md511.org.

While SHA and its partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert – look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don't follow too closely. Safer Driving. Safer Work Zones. For everyone!
