Due to the Labor Day Holiday, SHA will suspend all non-emergency weekend work to accommodate holiday traffic. Work will start again on Tuesday, September 2.

• Southbound MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) between the Washington D.C. line to MD 410 (East West Highway) – Paving – Double lane closures until Saturday afternoon.

 

• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) at Goldmine Road and Brookeville Road – Local Special Event – MD 97 at the Goldmine Road and Brookeville Road intersections to close Saturday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

 

While SHA and its partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify their driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert – look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don't follow too closely. Safer Driving. Safer Work Zones. For everyone!
