The following work will be done during the one-month ramp closure:

. Rebuilding the end of the ramp connection to Frederick Road;

• Constructing the transition from the new bridge to the roadway.

• Building new curb, gutter and sidewalk along the future westbound lanes of Frederick Road in the interchange area.

SHA will close and detour the ramp beginning approximately 8 p.m.  During the next month, all motorists traveling from the outer loop of I-695 to MD 144 at Exit 13 will be directed to the following detour: I-695 South to Exit 12, MD 372 (Wilkens Avenue), right onto Wilkens Avenue East, left onto Kenwood Avenue and then left onto I-695 North (Beltway inner loop) back to Exit 13, MD 144 East and West.  The ramp will re-open in mid- October, weather permitting.
