The State Highway Administration (SHA) will begin a $350,000 project to repair and patch a section of MD 145 (Sweet Air Road) between MD 146 (Jarrettsville Pike) and Manor Road on or after Thursday, December 6.
Crews may temporarily close lanes and have a flagging operation along this section of Sweet Air Road between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
SHA will work on weekdays as weather permits during the next two months; however, crews may work between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays if necessary. There will be no temporary lane closures on the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
SHA’s contractor for the project is American Infrastructure, Inc. of Fallston. Weather permitting, the pavement repair and patching project will be complete in late February 2013.
Citizens with questions about this project may contact Mr. Michael Boardwine or Mr. Mike Wetzel, District Operations Engineers in SHA’s District 4 Office - Maintenance Division. They may be reached at 410-229-2360, toll-free at 1-866-998-0367 or by email at
