Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) staff will host a community meeting to provide information about SHA’s upcoming project to improve safety and ride quality on MD 157 (Merritt Boulevard) from Peninsula Expressway to Wise Avenue in Dundalk, Baltimore County.
WHY:
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an update to the community on the MD 157 (Merritt Boulevard) safety and resurfacing project from Peninsula Expressway to Wise Avenue.
The MD 157 improvement project consists of pavement patching, pavement resurfacing, drainage improvements, new curb and gutter, new sidewalk with ADA upgrades, traffic signal upgrades, median improvements and minor landscaping.
The project is in the final design stage, with construction anticipated to begin late spring 2013. All major work will be completed within existing SHA right of way. Some properties will be temporarily affected by minor roadwork such as grading and constructing sidewalk, curb or driveway tie-ins.
SHA’s design team will give a brief project presentation and will be available to answer questions.
