Opportunity for Interested Persons to Discuss Project Design for Upcoming Project in Allegany County

State Highway Administration (SHA) representatives           
Area elected officials, businesses, community organizations and residents          
          
WHAT:           
SHA will host an informational public meeting to address the roadway, sidewalks, and drainage conditions along US 220 (McMullen Highway) between MD 53 (Winchester Road) and MD 636 (Warrior Drive) in Cresaptown, Allegany County. Information will acquaint the public with the project and provide an update on issues and studies that have resulted in the final design.           
          
This is an opportunity for those who are interested to receive an overview of the project and comment on its design. Project team members will be available to discuss anticipated traffic impacts and answer questions related to this project and receive input. Display areas will explain associated operational and safety improvements. Feel free to arrive at any time and conduct your own self guided tour of the project information.

WHY:           
The Cresaptown Safety and Enhancement Project is designed to improve travel and safety for both pedestrians and motorists by upgrading the sidewalks and roadway. Aesthetic enhancements include new plantings and pedestrian lighting along US 220. The town’s drainage system along US 220 will also be improved.
