Project Will Improve Ride Quality on Busy Route Connecting MD 404 with Downtown Area
(March 10, 2016) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will pave MD 619 (Sixth Street) between Fifth Street and MD 313 (Greensboro Road) in Denton (Caroline County) beginning Monday. Work includes removing the top layer of pavement, resurfacing and restriping approximately one mile of roadway.
Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should expect lane closures and flagging operations and allow extra travel time. Weather permitting, SHA expects to complete all work by mid-April. The contractor for this $394,000 project is Allan Myers of Dover, DE. On average, 6,600 vehicles use MD 619 each day.
