Daytime Work Beginning Monday, March 14, Covers Nearly Six Miles

(March 10, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin a project next week to improve the driving surface on MD 84 (South Clear Ridge Road/Baust Church Road) in Carroll County. Beginning Monday, March 14, crews will complete patching to smooth out the roadway between MD 75 (Green Valley Road) and MD 832 (Old Taneytown Road). The work is expected to be complete by the end of the month.

Starting Monday, crews will work weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. During work hours, a flagging operation will be in place so crews can safely perform the work. MDOT SHA contractor C.J. Miller LLC. of Hampstead, will use signs, cones and barrels to alert motorists about the flagging operation and guide them through the work zone.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
