(May 4, 2023) –The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will temporarily close the ramp from southbound MD 355 (Rockville Pike) to the inner loop of I-495 (Capital Beltway) for one night only Monday, May 8, to safely repair and improve the ramp surface. During the work, motorists can expect the temporary ramp closure, with vehicles detoured using southbound MD 355, then turning right onto Tuckerman Lane, then left turn onto MD 187 (Old Georgetown Road) and back to the inner loop of I-495. The detour length is about 3.5 miles.
Contractor Concrete General Inc., of Gaithersburg, will perform the work. Customers with questions may contact the District 3 Office at 301-513-7300 or toll-free at 1-800-749-0737.
