MD 222 between Canal Rd. and Moore Rd. in Port Deposit is CLOSED due to high water.  All commercial truck drivers who take MD 222 through Post Deposit are encouraged to plan alternate routes through the weekend and possibly into the following week.  Local deliveries into Post Deposit can be made via MD 222 from the south.  Drivers are reminded that MD 276 between MD 275 and MD 222 has a 10-ton weight limit. Conowingo​ Dam is opening flood gates to accommodate increasing Susquehanna River flow from the remnants of Hurricane Ida.  As the Susquehanna drainage basin extends through Pennsylvania and into New York, the dam flood gates could remain open for several days, possibly keeping the above-mentioned section of MD 222 closed into early next week.
