Expect Delays to Extend into Maryland as part of Virginia Department of Transportation’s I-495 NEXT Project

(January 23, 2025) – A section of the I-495 (Capital Beltway) Inner Loop at the Dulles Corridor Interchange will close overnight Friday, January 24, through Monday, January 27, for the Virginia Department of Transportation’s I-495 NEXT project. The project involves the installation of several bridge beams.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is alerting motorists to expect delays into Maryland.

Beginning Friday, January 24 at midnight (weather permitting), VDOT and Transurban will close lanes of the I-495 (Beltway Inner Loop) at the Dulles Corridor Interchange. All lanes will reopen before the morning rush hour on Monday, January 27.
