Motorists Should Expect Traffic Delays During Work Hours
(September 10, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin resurfacing a section of southbound US 13 (Salisbury Bypass) in Wicomico County on Monday, September 15. The work is expected to be complete by late fall, weather permitting.
Starting Monday, crews will begin working 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on southbound US 13, between MD 12 to just north of Stockyard Road. During work hours, motorists can expect single-lane closures and flagging operations.
Contractor Allan Myers of Fallston, MD will use arrow boards, cones, and flaggers to safely guide motorists through the work zone.
The State Highway Administration appreciates customers’ patience during construction as we work to improve Maryland’s transportation system. Drivers are asked to stay alert, stay focused and be aware of reduced speed limits and changing driving patterns in the work zone. Slow Down and move over in work zones. It’s the law.
