***TRAFFIC ALERT*** STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION TO RESURFACE BRIDGE APPROACHES AT THREE BRIDGES ON I-695 IN WESTERN BALTIMORE COUNTY STARTING SUNDAY

​Expect Overnight Lane Closures on the Outer Loop I-695 at Milford Mill Road, Ingleside Avenue and Edmondson Avenue 

(October 15, 2024) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will resurface bridge approaches at three bridges on the outer loop (southbound) I-695 Baltimore Beltway) in Baltimore County beginning Sunday, October 20. The pavement improvement project should be complete by the end of the month, weather permitting.

On Sunday, at 9 p.m. contractor crews will begin asphalt paving work on the approaches to the following bridges in the following order:  

  • Southbound I-695 bridge over Milford Mill Road, between I-795 (Northwest Expressway) and MD 26 (Liberty Road)  

From Tuesday, October 22, through Thursday, October 24, at 9 pm, crews will begin work on these bridges in the following order:​

  • Southbound I-695 bridge over Ingleside Avenue, between US 40 (Baltimore National Pike) and Edmondson Avenue; and the Southbound I-695 bridge over Edmondson Avenue, at the Edmondson Avenue interchange.     

Motorists can expect temporary overnight single and double lane closures and traffic shifts on the outer loop I-695 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sundays to Thursdays. All work schedules are weather permitting. 

The State Highway Administration’s contractor, C. J. Miller, Inc. of Hampstead, will use digital message boards to advise travelers of upcoming lane closures and will use temporary traffic signs, barrels and cones to guide travelers through the work zone.
