Motorists Should Expect Daytime Work with a Flagging Operation in Both Directions to Maintain Traffic
(August 22, 2024) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin asphalt patching on MD 615 (Heavenly Acres Ridge) from I-70 to the Pennsylvania line next week. Work should take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Crews will work Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and drivers can expect a flagging operation in both directions to maintain traffic on MD 615 from the eastbound I-70 exit to the Pennsylvania line. The State Highway Administration’s contractor, C. William Hetzer, Inc, of Hagerstown will use electronic message boards, detour signs, barrels, and cones to guide motorists safely through the work zone.
The State Highway Administration appreciates motorists’ patience as we complete this necessary inspection and maintenance work. Drivers are asked to slow down in the work zone for the safety of all drivers and the crews working to improve our roadways.
