Motorists Should Expect Overnight Single-Lane and Shoulder Closures
(February 22, 2023) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is beginning overnight work today, Wednesday, February 22, to repair a damaged drainage pipe and pavement damage on
northbound MD 202 (Landover Road) just past MD 450 (Annapolis Road) in Bladensburg. Crews will work weeknights from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, beginning Wednesday evening. The work will take approximately one month to complete, weather permitting.
During the overnight work, motorists can expect closure of a single-lane and the shoulder on northbound MD 202. Southbound MD 202 will not be affected. The State Highway Administration realizes the lane closure is an inconvenient to drivers and will make every effort to expedite the repairs. The work is being conducted with the safety of motorists and work crews as the highest priority.
