MD 140 Northbound at Olive Lane / BGE Electric Reliability Project Spring 2022 - Through mid-May 2022, BGE will maintain two through lanes and the left turn lane along northbound MD 140. Right turns in and out of properties on Olive Lane will be maintained throughout construction. Left turns in and out of Olive Lane and the businesses directly south of Olive Lane will be restricted. BGE will maintain all through lanes along southbound MD 140 through the work zone.

I-270 at MD 85 (Buckeystown Pike) - Bridge replacement and MD 85 widening project - Overnight ramp closures on Monday, April 18 at ramp 2 (northbound I-270 and MD 85), and on Wednesday, April 20 at ramp 3 (southbound I-270 to northbound MD 85) and ramp 5 (northbound MD 85 to southbound I-270) from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Electronic boards and signs will be used to direct motorists to the detour routes.

Eastbound US 340 bridge over Catoctin Creek past MD 180 (Jefferson Pike) exit - Bridge surface and deck repairs – The right lane of eastbound US 340 is complete. Crews are now working on the left lane. The work scheduled has both daytime and overnight hours daily to make the necessary concrete and surface repairs. At least one travel lane on the bridge will be closed around the clock until the project is complete in May. Motorists are advised to take an alternate route during the project to avoid travel delays.

US 15 between Basford Road and the bridge over the Potomac River near the Maryland/Virginia line - Highway patching and resurfacing project - Single Lane closure during overnight mobile project. Crews working Sunday night through Friday morning from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. The project includes the traffic circle at MD 464 (Point of Rocks Road). Completion is expected in May.
MD 26 (Liberty Road) between Chestnut Grove Road and MD 75 (Green Valley Road) - Highway patching project – Flagging operation starting Monday, April 11. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The project is expected to be complete in May.
MD 144 (Main Street) between I-70 and Ijamsville Road – Pipe installation – MDOT SHA closed a 1,000-foot section of westbound MD 144. Emergency vehicles will have access during the temporary closure. The closure is expected to be in effect through May.

WB 70 between westbound US 40 (Baltimore National Pike) merge ramp and MD 97 (Hoods Mill Road) - Highway patching and resurfacing project – Single lane closure and exit ramp detours at MD 32 and MD 97 when crews are working in that area. The schedule is overnight from Sunday evening to Friday morning from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. This project is expected to be complete by July.
MD 108 (Clarksville Pike) between the Howard/Montgomery Co line (past Wainwright Road) and MD 32 (Patuxent Freeway) - Highway maintenance resurfacing project - Starting Thursday, April 21, there will be a single lane closure and flagging operation during the overnight work hours of 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday night through Friday morning. The project is expected to be complete in June.

MD 51 (Industrial Blvd) from Canal Parkway to Springdale Street – Left lane closures will be in place in both north and south bound directions. Crews will work daily, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., on the section of the roadway between Canal Parkway and Springdale Street. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by the end of June.
MD 51 (Oldtown Road) Bridge over the C&O Canal – Crews will be closing both lanes and creating a single lane in the center of the roadway. This traffic set up will include a temporary traffic signal alternating traffic through the single lane. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by the end of summer.
MD 36 (New George’s Creek Road) from the Salt Dome to Barton - Flagging operation for a safety and resurfacing project – Patch, grind, and resurface and apply new pavement markings - Crews will work daily, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
I-68 (National Freeway) Bridge over MD 55 (Vale Summit Road) - repair barrier and install fencing - April 11 weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Right lane and shoulder closures both westbound and eastbound - Weather permitting, the project is expected to complete by the end of June. – NEW

Cove Road bridge over I-695 - Bridge deck replacement - On I-695, daytime single lane closures in both directions may occur Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and overnight lane closures Sunday-Thursday between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day. On the Cove Road bridge over I-695, long-term single lane closures are in effect, with two-way traffic on the southern (eastbound) side of the bridge deck, through late summer 2022.
I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) North and South Bridges over Padonia Road – Dual Bridge replacement and interchange improvements through summer 2022. There may be single lane closures on I-83 north and I-83 south between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday-Thursday. Single lane closures on Padonia Rd. West between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day Sunday - Thursday. Detours of Padonia Rd. underneath I-83 possible on any weeknight (Sunday - Thursday) between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning. Interchange Ramp from Padonia Road East to I-83 North closed 24 hours/7 days until entire project is complete summer 2022. Note: Spring 2002 - Weekend closures of the ramp from westbound Padonia Road to southbound I-83 for concrete work on the ramp are currently scheduled for the weekend of March 25 and April 1. Updated

US 1 (Washington Blvd.) Bridge over CSX Transportation rail lines – Bridge replacement – Clarke Blvd. at US 1 is closed/detoured 24 hours/7 days through summer 2022. Posted detour route includes Selford Rd., Francis Ave., Oregon and Carville Aves., Tom Day Blvd. and US 1 Alt. (Southwestern Blvd.) Project scheduled through late fall 2022.
MD 25 (Falls Road) between Baltimore City / County Line and I-695 – Baltimore County DPW water line replacement project - Overnight lane closures with flagging operations along sections of Falls Road, 9 p.m. - 5 a.m. the next day Sunday – Thursday, with some daytime work as needed 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. through spring 2024.

Wilson Lane/ Grey Rock Rd. - Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements - includes traffic signal upgrades, crosswalk markings, and paving on MD 140 and also on Hooks Lane at MD 140. Temporary daytime single lane closures on MD 140 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday – Friday and overnight single lane closures on Hooks Lane approach to MD 140 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning Sunday – Thursday through summer 2022. MD 147 (Harford Road) / Joppa Road - Intersection Improvements - Daytime single lane closures and flagging operations on Harford and Joppa Road in the vicinity of the intersection Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Fridays. Overnight work with lane closures Sunday – Thursday 9 p.m. - 5 a.m. the next day. Traffic shift in effect as of Jan. 26 on westbound Joppa Rd. with lanes shifted to the left approaching Harford Rd. Traffic shift and right lane closure in effect along southbound MD 147 from Jomat Avenue to south of Joppa Road, through spring 2022.
MD 151 (Sparrows Point Blvd.) / Wharf Road (MD 151 B) Interchange - Three-bridge replacement project at interchange. The southbound side of the existing MD 151 bridge is closed and two-way traffic - one lane in each direction - runs on the northbound side of the bridge. This will be in effect for the next year and will enable partial demolition of the existing bridge over Wharf Road and future construction of the new bridge. This is in addition to the detours of southbound and northbound Wharf Road at the interchange. NOTES: The northbound side of MD 151 is closed between the Baltimore County Highways Maintenance Shop (1500 block) and the Wharf Rd. Interchange. Two-way traffic runs on the southbound side of MD 151, one lane in each direction. The existing ramp from northbound MD 151 to southbound Wharf Road is open for local traffic only.
Cecil County
MD 222 south of Frenchtown Road - MD 222 (Bainbridge Road) will be closed for utility work between Frenchtown Road and South Main Street in Port Deposit beginning February 14 and continuing for approximately 60 days. Detour using MD 275 (Perrylawn Drive) and MD 276 (Tome Highway).
MD 279 (Elkton Road) at MD 277 (Fletchwood Road) – Northbound MD 279 is reduced to a single lane at the MD 277 intersection near the Delaware line and shifted across the median to a contraflow pattern (one lane in each direction). This is part of the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDot) reconstruction of route 279. Updated

Northbound US 15 Bridge over MD 77 – Bridge Deck replacement project – The right lane is closed. Each side of the bridge is expected to take six to eight months to finish. The entire project is expected to be complete by spring 2023.
I-270 southbound from MD 121 (Clarksburg Road) to MD 109 (Old Hundred Road) - I-270 acceleration lane expansion project in Montgomery County. Clayton Road bridge over I-95 between MD 152 and MD 24 (MDTA project) - Clayton Road closed and detoured until early 2022.
I-95/MD 152 Interchange Reconstruction (MDTA project) - Travel lanes on MD 152 at I-95 will be shifted to accommodate reconstruction of the existing interchange. MD 152 traffic will shift from the current location to the outside of the roadway in both directions on MD 152 between Old Mountain Road/Jaycee Drive and MD 7 (Philadelphia Road). All access to and from I-95 will retain its present configuration throughout this phase of construction, which will last through spring 2022.
Montgomery County
MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) at Jones Bridge Road/Kensington Parkway - Intersection improvement project. Single off-peak lane closures on MD 185, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and single off-peak lane closures on Jones Bridge Road, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, 7 days per week, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through late summer 2023.
MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) from north of Gold Mine Road to south of Holiday Drive. - Roadway relocation project - Intermittent single northbound and southbound lane closures weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through year-end 2022.
MD 410 (East West Highway) from Rocton Avenue to Curtis Street – Curb realignment and sidewalk construction. Single lane closure, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through late spring 2022.

MD 223 (Woodyard Road) at Dower House Road - Geometric improvement project - Single weekday lane closures, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through late summer 2022.

I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) from Suitland Road to MD 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue) - Suitland Parkway bridge replacement project. Road shoulder closure permissible 24 hours daily, intermittent single and multiple lane closures, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnight, Sunday through Friday, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through year end 2022.
Washington County
I-70 East and Westbound at the MD 65 Interchange – Bridge rehabilitation and widening of I 70 bridges over MD 65- Left shoulder closed eastbound/westbound long term for phase 1 work. Intermittent, single lane closures at nighttime from Sunday through Thursday between midnight and 5 a.m. on I-70. Additionally, alternating/single lane closures will be performed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weekdays on MD 65 north and south.
MD 418 (Ringgold Pike) from MD 64 (Smithsburg Pike) and the Pennsylvania Line - Flagging operation - Patching, grind, pave and replace pavement markings - Crews will work daily, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be complete in early April.
US 40 East at Beaver Creek Road – Geometric improvements at the intersection, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. - single lane traffic eastbound, US 40 East in a single lane near Beaver Creek Road and Auto Place. The right turn from US 40 East to Beaver Creek Road will be narrowed during the construction using barrels. Work expected to be completed by the end of April.
MD 632 (Downsville Pike) from MD 68 (Lappans Road) to South of I-70, patching, milling and repaving project, motorists should expect a flagging operation, Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Project to be completed by the beginning of June.
