Daytime Paving Project Continues Through Late June

(April 6, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin a project Friday, April 8, to repair asphalt pavement on MD 7 (Philadelphia Road) in eastern Baltimore County. Starting at 9 a.m. Friday, contractor crews will patch sections of asphalt pavement along two miles of MD 7 from Ebenezer Road to New Forge Road. Crews will continue to work weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., until expected completion in late June. All work is weather permitting.

During work hours, motorists can expect temporary lane closures and a flagging operation. MDOT SHA contractor, Allan Myers – MD Inc., of Fallston, will use signs, reflective barrels, and electronic arrow boards to alert and guide motorists through the work zone on MD 7.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers.  Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.

Governor Larry Hogan has declared April as Work Zone Safety Month in Maryland. For more information on Work Zone Safety, visit roads.maryland.gov and click on the work zone safety banner. Also follow MDOT SHA on Twitter @MDSHA and on Facebook at facebook.com/MDOTSHA
