​Work Included New Road Surface and Exit Ramp Reconstruction 

(November 15, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) recently completed a project on MD 32 (Patuxent Freeway) at Dorsey Run Road in the Annapolis Junction area of Howard County. The $3.1 million project began this past spring and was completed ahead of schedule.

The project focused on improving the safety and driving surface of the interchange ramps. The work included pavement reconstruction on the heavily travelled ramps on and off eastbound MD 32, new guardrail and roadway drainage system installation to upgrade area drainage.   

MDOT SHA’s contractor on the project was C.J. Miller LLC of Hampstead.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers.  Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slowdown in construction zones.
