(August 11, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is continuing its pavement repairs to I-97 northbound in northern Anne Arundel County tomorrow night.

Starting at 10 p.m. Thursday, August 12, through 5 a.m. the next morning, Friday, August 13, crews will work on I-97 northbound between MD 176 (Dorsey Road) and MD 648 (Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard). Crews will close the left two lanes to perform the work.

Drivers may use MD 295 (Baltimore Washington Parkway) or I-95 as alternate north-south routes. Customers with questions about this work may contact the MDOT SHA District 5 Office at 410-841-1000 or toll-free at 1-800-331-5603.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
