US 40 sign
July 29, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin resurfacing sections of US 40 (Pulaski Highway) in Havre De Grace, Harford County on Sunday, August 1. Crews will patch, mill and resurface the roadway between Robinhood Road and MD 7 (Post Road/Revolution Street). They will work overnight, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays and weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., until the project’s expected completion in October.
Motorists can expect single lane closures while work is taking place. This resurfacing project is part of MDOT SHA’s highway pavement maintenance program in Harford County.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
Stranded motorists can dial #77 or 911 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
